weekend update

the twins had a soccer game on saturday so I trekked down to puyallup early in order to see them in action. hunter was taking care of business in the goal, not scared of the ball at all. scooping it up and throwing it back on the field like it was nothing. hailey was running up and down the field doing a great job of keeping control of the ball. grandpa ed says they have improved a lot since they started on the team. way to go guys!

this girl still looks good in the rain...and strikes a pose

unfortunately, it started to rain soon after I got there. go figure. it was sunny and semi warm in seattle when I left but by the time I got down south, it was cloudy and rainy and cold. ugh. after a quick run to the vehicles, the rain paraphernalia was set to go. it's sure hard to know who's on each other's team if everyone is wearing jackets over their shirts. sometimes it's just fun to run and run and run with the ball until someone yells at you to "turn around, you are going the wrong way!" those kids crack me up.

our view, a field of umbrellas

after the game, the parents do this cool "parents tunnel" so the kids can run through them. kind of like a celebration. it was adorable and the kids LOVE it. the days of slapping hands in a long line like we did in 7th grade volleyball are over. this is way cooler.

pinklady reports on sex and the city: 4 stars

on sunday, cindy and I made it to the first showing of the day (9:50am) of "sex and the city" movie and we both really liked it. even with it being early, there were still lines. crazy. there were some loose ends tied up, some surprises, but a few open ended things that could easily open the door to a sequel. it was nice to see the girls again. the fashion alone was worth it. I'm not saying it was all my style but it is still fun to drool over. and I thought jennifer hudson did a great job. I'm hearing reviews that she isn't a great actress but I actually liked her in the role.

(note: there is nudity in this movie, beware.)

this was one of my favorite outfits in the movie. not in love with the shoes or the belt so much but the combination of bold green florals, love it.

okay, the bird in the hair, notsomuch, but the dresses...yummy

good night and have a pleasant tomorrow

Soccer and rain - like ice cream and hot fudge, you can hardly have one without the other.

I can't wait to see Sex and the City!!!!! So glad you liked it - our local paper only gave it 2 stars, but I figure that he doesn't love those girls like I do. None of my friends have ever seen the show, so I'll be going solo. More popcorn for me!

Is it true what happens with Big and Carrie? And is it okay? I want them all to have happy endings!

dishes: yes it's true. it was sad and horrible and I cried a lot. but things turn around and it was as it should be.

if I were there, I'd go again with you! movie popcorn and rolos are my favorite combination. especially for breakfast. :-)
