father's day was a lazy day. mom and dad come to seattle for the weekend and we spent time outside in the sun and just hanging out.
june is a big celebration month for us. my aunt's birthday was the 8th and traci's was on the 13th. we celebrated them all with a big family lunch on sunday.
we went to buca di beppo for family style italian. I had only been there one time before and that was long ago. it is full of kitsch and cheesy italian music...and I loved it!
there were three sections of the table and we each ordered something different to share. some I liked and some I didn't. my favorite part...the mozzarella cheese bread. if you don't order it the next time you are there, you are missing out. seriously, I could make a meal of just this bread. with maybe a little salad. that was pretty good too. we had both the mixed green salad (similar to olive garden's although I think olive garden's is better) and the caesar salad.
our section of the table ordered the chicken parmigiana which was good. the middle section ordered margherita pizza and lasagna. seriously, that lasagna was HUGE and HEAVY and very good. the pizza was on a thin crust and tasted great as well. the other end of the table ordered the linguine frutti di mare which is seafood linguine. I did not like that. I like seafood in general but this was WAY fishy. too much for me.
my sister wasn't able to be here because she was working but we were on the phone sunday morning while dad was opening his gifts. we had bought him a camp shirt while at disneyworld. he admired one but didn't want to spend the money so we did it for him! we also got him tickets to the museum of flight which he's been talking about wanting to go forever.
he deserves all this and more.
he is the most caring, understanding, and generous father a girl could ever have.
happy father's day.
