right before christmas, my friend cindy took me to this floral and gift shop that she knew I'd love. and I did! maxine's was not what I expected and I was completely taken by her decor, her inventory, her eclectic personality. I was smitten with everything about that place. and the music she was playing just set the stage.
it was paul potts. if you haven't heard his story, he was the winner of the british version of "american idol" called "britain's got talent." his voice is beautiful and his story is remarkable.
last weekend, I was in puyallup visiting family and we stopped in to starbucks for a caffeine refuel...and music purchase. luciano pavarotti's greatest hits would not be passed up. I'm still learning about the opera's themselves but the music is enchanting me.
both cds contain one of my favorites "nessum dorma" and I'd have to say that while paul's version is good, pavarotti's is sublime. marilyn also loves this song and you can read about it here.
speaking of her, my music posts will never be as good as marilyn's...she is truly passionate about her music and I adore that about her. I am so enjoying the new music and artists she brings into my life.
as for the other resolutions, that is for another time and post(s). stay tuned...

Keshi.
Nessun Dorma is my all time favorite opera song. It is so dramatic and beautiful.

I've seen clips of that Paul Potts - I get the chills every time. Amazing story!
keshi: thanks for stopping by!
marilyn: keep the music coming my friend, I can't get enough.
dishes: quite a story for sure. I just love successes like his! makes the music a little sweeter in my opinion.
