for me, there is just something about a man in uniform, (almost) any uniform. I’m a sucker for any law enforcement uniform; police, fire, emt. but military just about does me in. lord, please let my future husband wear a uniform…PLEASE?! oh, I am weak in the knees at the very thought!
vegetables
I do like: corn, broccoli, cauliflower (not raw), carrots, celery, avocado (or are they considered a fruit?), cucumber, spinach (raw, as in salad)
I do not like: brussel sprouts (it’s like they are meaty inside…GROSS), green beans (unless they are fresh), spinach (cooked), radishes, peppers (green, red, yellow), peas, beets
venice
every bit as beautiful as you can imagine. not smelly or dirty like people tell you. we spent time sitting in piazza san marco writing postcards, dodging pigeons, and watching people. we spent money on a have-to-do-while-in-venice gondola ride and got lucky…our gondolier was famous! he had just finished filming the movie “casanova” with heath leadger (not one I would recommend except for the final scene…that’s our marco in that gondola!). my favorite gorgonzola pizza was eaten in venice…three days in a row. it was a little pizzeria near our hotel, just off the piazza, where our waiter was also the owner and treated us to our first “ciao, ciao” send-off. it meant he really liked us…ahhhhh.
weddings
no, there isn’t anything I haven’t told you, I’m not getting married…yet. for the past 10 years, in some capacity or another, I have been involved with helping at weddings. it started when all my friends started to get married and asking me to help out, either with designing invitations and programs to decorating to coordinating the events on the day of. my job in california was event planner for a golf resort which included all their weddings. because I have been to A LOT of weddings, I know what I like, what I wouldn’t spend the money on, and what I will NEVER have anywhere near my wedding! I’ve been taking a break as of late but I’m feeling the itch to plan and do “wedding stuff” so if you know anyone in the seattle area that could use a little help, send them my way.
