it was a weekend of birthday celebrations and I'm plumb worn out. should be going to bed but I just can't yet. here's the rundown:
these are flowers sent to me by my wonderful parents on my birthday. what a nice surprise to receive such a pretty arrangement! several of the brokers I work with got me a really nice bottle of french wine and chocolate truffles, my friend mandy and I went to lunch and shopped around cost plus imports, and then had the best family birthday dinner at my aunt's house...it was a nice birthday.
our apartment mixer on saturday night was a success although we were disappointed by the low neighbor turnout. we had only seven of us total, we had hoped for more. the food was great though and the ones who came were a joy to talk with. we even got to take tours of each apartment represented which was really fun. every unit on each floor has a slightly different floorplan so it's fun to see the layouts...and how people decorate!
today was my day in childcare at church and I was in the preschool room today which was so fun because they kids interact so much. there is a little lesson, singing, craft time, etc. much different than the nursery...not better, just different! right after church, I met everyone at red robin for another birthday dinner! traci and the kids drove up from puyallup and aunt b, lisa and tony all came too. how nice it was to just hang, eat GREAT fries and mud pie, and chat.
now I'm gearing up for a short week at work and then heading home for thanksgiving. yea for family and food!
